The 67th annual conference provides information on all aspects of weed control and management. It's one of the largest meetings of its type and covers crops of all kinds, turf and ornamental, and vegetation management.

Conference Program

Conference Program Begins: Wednesday, November 1st, 9 a.m.
Conference Adjourns: Noon, Friday, November 3rd

License Credits

State license credits for Washington, Oregon and Idaho will be given.

Photo Contest

Show off your photographic abilities by entering the Weed Photo Contest! Interested applicants should submit their digital photos via email to info@weedconference.org or mail a CD to PO Box 5021, Benton City, WA 99320.  Entries will also be accepted at the registration desk on Wednesday. 

CASH prizes!  Each individual can submit up to five photos but is only eligible for one placement.  Winners and cash prizes will be announced on Friday. 

General Rules
1. Contest is open only to WA Weed Conference attendees
2. Subject of photo is to be any photogenic subject associated with Weed Science
3. Each contestant can enter a maximum of five images but can win only one prize. 
4. Prizes are $100 for 1st, $50 for 2nd and $25 for 3rd
5. Members of the Washington State Weed Association Board of Directors photo contest subcommittee will judge the contest. 
6. Judges will consider factors such as subject, composition, technical aspects and overall appeal
7. Mail or email images by October 25th or turn into the registration desk by Wednesday. 
8.  Describe the photos and include applicants name in a text file 
9.  Digital files must be .jpg format and should be a minimum of 1440 x 960 resolution or at least 1.3 MP. Digital media should be labeled with your name and address. Name your files to match all or a portion of your image title.

Additional door prizes are always needed and can be dropped off at the Conference Registration Desk.

Win the Weed Cup at the Mike Braun Weed Quiz

Take home the coveted Weed Cup, given to the winners of both the Professional and Fun Divisions. Top three in the Pro Division also win cash prizes. This year's quizmaster will be Roland Schirman, WSU Columbia County Extension.

Social Hour

An annual favorite, Thursday's Social Hour, sponsored by DuPont Land Management and Wilbur-Ellis, is the perfect opportunity to mingle with fellow attendees and industry professionals.

Abstracts

Poster Panels

Information poster panels on weed control research and management projects are invited for display during the conference. They are available to weed districts, universities and other non-profit segments of the industry. Displays and easels must be provided. Please reserve the space in advance by calling (509) 288-4677.
